Hill Country – Tim Gibbs

Aboriginal art has maintained a different approach to Western art in the way in which landscapes are presented. Whilst most Aboriginal paintings show the terrain as a map seen from above, some like Tim choose to use a blended style of realistic landscape with the technique of aerial perspective and dot painting infill.

This painting depicts the sand dunes and the changing mood of the artist’s country across the seasons.

This painting was completed in 2010
