Kamahi Djordon King (Jungala) – Desert Snake (SOLD)

Kamahi was born in Katherine in Australia’s Northern Territory in 1972. A member of the Gurindji tribe, Kamahi’s Aboriginal skin name is Jungala.

Kamahi began sketching and painting at a young age. However, he did not begin to paint on canvas until his twenties after pursuing a career in the performing arts.

Kamahi’s paintings represent the movements and colours of the central desert.

This painting depicts the movement of a desert snake. The vibrant colours represent the surroundings as the snake weaves gracefully across the landscape.
