She was born in the mid 1950’s on Mt Doreen Station, northwest of Alice Springs in the Simpson Desert. She lived a traditional life, with no exposure to white man until her family moved to the Yuendumu settlement.

Margaret’s paintings depict women’s stories and stories associated with her country west of Yuendumu. She uses a combination of strong vibrant colours and microscopic dots. Her work has been exhibited extensively throughout Australia and overseas.

This painting was completed in 2018 and is accompanied by 2 working shots.
